Mackinac Island 2008

We had another wonderful trip to Mackinac Island this year! Here's Canon at 6 in the morning at a Big Boy restaraunt bathroom (he's been up since 4am)... he and Tyrion were troopers during the 9 hour drive up to Mackinac with me and Mom! This year, like those in the past, consisted of a lot of waiting and a lot of FUDGE!!! Here's Nicole, Kimber, and I at a playground outside of Mackinac Island School (K-12, a tiny school for all the Mackinac resident kids).
Mom and I picked up this "Megatron Transformer" toy at a McDonald's on our way up Michigan, he took it with him EVERYWHERE.Mom helped push Canon around the island. It was nice having so many helping hands!

Due to some insane weather, the Endurance had to drop out of the race for the first time in it's history. It made it as far as Leeland with some very relieved sailors.
Mom and Aunt Jenny went to retrieve the crew and drive them back up to Mackinac so they could all take part in the Island festivities. After a LOOOONG day, Justin and I took the sunset ferry back to the city with the kiddos to get some much needed sleep.
