4th of July!

The 4th of July was a blast this year! Mema, Tanner, Canon, Hunter, and I kicked off the day by walking down to the Highlands Ranch parade. Canon LOVED it! So many motorcycles, trucks, horses, dogs, clowns, and candy -- he and Tanner sat entranced on the curb and waved their flags for an hour!

The motorcycles were a huge hit.

And so were the firetrucks!

After the parade, we walked over to the Town Center fair where they were having pony rides, train rides, bounce houses, etc. (all of which had lines way to long to wait in). Tanner and Canon enjoyed getting balloons though and watching Hunter in the pitching machine.

After naptime and a FABULOUS bbq dinner at the Harm's house, we all headed back to Mema's front porch to get a skyline view of several firework shows. (Canon is already in his jammies, he hung in there like a trooper for all the festivities though!)
We also had fun setting off all the firework booty we bought in Cheyenne last month!

Star Wars leggos trumped some of the firworks for the youngest boys. :o)

But Canon definitely caught his fill of wonderful "booms" in the sky.

After a long day of Independence Day celebration, it was off to bed for all of us. We had an early morning coming the next day as we were off for our Harms/Olson family float trip!
