Vail Weekend
We took a mini-staycation with the kids up to Vail this weekend and had A BLAST. It was "off-season" so not crowded at all and we were able to get a really good feel of the town. We stayed at the Vail Cascade Resort which is a ski-in-ski-out resort that butts up to the mountain and is right on Gore Creek (good for Justin's fishing escapades!) and the bike path!
During our bike explores we came upon this awesome playground for the kids!
Breakfast at Westside. If you ever go up to Vail, eat here! It is awesome. It's a little local joint right on Frontage Road next to the Bear Creek Pub and the Holiday Inn. It serves Captain Crunch French Toast and Lemon Blueberry Pancakes. D.E.L.I.C.I.O.U.S.
My cozy crew! The kids had sooo much fun on vacation. They kept asking not to go home the whole weekend. Afraid that we might whisk them away from all the fun at any moment. Haha!
Vail Village for dinner! We ate right downtown on the streets of Vail at Pazzo's Pizzeria. Atmosphere was wonderful; all the Christmas lights were on to our delight and the weather was perfect.
The streets of Vail were just a mile from our hotel and right on the bike path!
We had to stop when we saw the "woof woof". My little puppy lover. :o)
You can see a couple of the smaller hills of barren Vail Mountain in the background. No snow here yet! Although Loveland and A-Basin are already open and ready for business.
Snack time!
The heated outdoor saltwater pool was awesome. Was SUPER warm and just the right size for our two little minnows.
