Halloween Preschool Parade
For months, now, Riley has been asking to be a kitty cat for Halloween and Canon has been asking to be a ghost. But not just any ghost, a homemade ghost that you make out of a tablecloth (because we read about this in "Corduroy's Halloween"). So on Saturday, we went to a Halloween party with our white sheet, cut out eyes, mouth, and arm holes. Canon LOVED this costume (even though he was almost completely immobile - hard time seeing, walking, and eating). So he took it off halfway through the party so he could play pin the tail on the donkey, eat ghost lollipops, etc. Long story short, it got accidentally thrown out with the ACTUAL party tablecloths at the end of the party. The party hostess (my friend Jodi) felt bad and brought over a whole bag of old costumes/boy dress up clothes from her little brother (who is now 15). This Wolverine costume was among it and Canon was smitten. Especially since it came with muscles. :o) I spent a good half of last night spot treating, washing, and sewing all the holes in this 10 year old costume so he could wear it today for his school party and for trick-or-treating. Whew! He is one happy little superhero.
His class! The dalmation right in front of him is Mya, his school bestfriend.
His teachers: Ms. V is a doctor and Ms. Andrea is a crayon.
Success! He is digging this costume big time.
Can't wait to go trick-or-treating with my two "cats" tonight! :o)
